The Muharraq Experience

In this tour we get to know the history of Pearl Trade and the island of Muharraq, the former capital of the pearling industry and Bahrain. There’s a strong focus on traditional crafts here with a visit to a Dhow workshop and a traditional wood workshop. We’ll grab some local snacks too and walk through the souq, exploring traditional Bahraini architecture and lots more on our walk.

The former palace of the ruler of the Island. Built in the early 1800s it holds all the elements of traditional architecture.
