Bruges is really the most enchanting city of Belgium. During the drive to Bruges your expert guide will explain the ins and outs of the rise and fall of the city. Then he takes you to the beguinage. We call at Europe’s oldest Saint John’s hospital. Guided visit of the Church of our Lady with the tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy, the Madonna by Michelangelo, painting by Caravaggio. Passing the museum of the Flemish primitives we walk to the Belfry Tower on the Market Square, the Burg Square with the Town Hall and visit to the upper and lower Basilica of the Holy Blood… Time for a refreshment: a short beer tasting session followed by an (optional) set lunch in a restaurant with view of the Belfry and the medieval market square. The highlight of the day will be the boat tour along the canals of Bruges.

The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaerde is the only preserved beguinage in the Belgian city of Bruges. There are no more Beguines living there, but since 1927 it functions as a convent for Benedictines, founded by canon Hoornaert.
