Kuenselphodrang day hike
This is a lovely hike from Kuenselphodrang to Changangkha monastery. The hike will take about 3 to 4 hours. The hike is through pine forest. The hiking trail was made as a mountain biking trail but its a good trail to go hiking. This trail is doable through out the year. During winter it could be little chilly where ever there is shade so you should carry some light weight warm clothes. This trail is part of the 60th birth anniversary celebration of the fourth king of Bhutan.
Morning pick from the hotel and drop to the start point of the hike. You will hike with your guide. The vehicle will be waiting at the end point to pick you. You should have a good pairs of hiking boots. If you don't have hiking boots then you can use comfortable sneakers to do the hike. You can start the hike either from Kuenselphodrang or from Changangkha. On holidays youngsters do cycling on this trails so you should be careful on the bends.
The best time for this trail is to start in the morning when the temperature is quite cool. A guide is must on this trail. Do not hike alone on this trail as some people have encountered black himalayan bear.
