Sarajevo War Tour 1992-1995

On this tour if you choose to go with us you will hear about the Bosnian war (1992-1995) that brought worst atrocities and devastation which Europe haven,t seen from the II World War. We will start a tour by going through the sniper alley, Grbavica district, which was separation point between the two war sides (the Bosnian army and the Republic of Srpska army), then we will climb to the mountain Trebevic, where you will for a moment sense how it was to be citizen of surrounded Sarajevo during the war times. From Trebević mountain we will go down to the Tunnel of hope(War museum)

Stop At: Sarajevo War Tunnel, Tuneli 1 Ilidža - Donji Kotorac, Sarajevo 71210 Bosnia and Herzegovina

Our first stop after passing Sniper Alley will be Sarajevo Tunnel of Hope, It was constructed by the besieged citizens with the help of the Bosnian Army in order to link the city of Sarajevo, which was entirely cut-off by Serbian forces, with the Bosnian-held territory on the other end of the supposedly neutral area at the Sarajevo Airport controlled by the United Nations. The tunnel linked two Sarajevo neighborhoods of Dobrinja and Butmir.

Stop At: Trebević Vidikovac, Sarajevo 71000, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Our second stop will be Trebevic Mountain(1627m),The Mountain where tens of thousands used to spend their Saturdays before the 1992-1995 siege of Sarajevo that soon became a symbol of aggression
Trebević was the only place to breathe fresh air when the city was engulfed in fumes, but that all changed and the mountain became our worst enemy,hundreds of mortars and countless bullets rained down on our capital from this point each day killing a large proportion of the 11,541 people slain in the city during that period.

Stop At: Jewish Cemetery Sarajevo, Gabrielle Moreno Locatelli, Sarajevo 71000 Bosnia and Herzegovina

Our last stop will be OId Jewish Cemetery which is almost 500 years old cemetery in Sarajevo,place where most important battles took place regarding siege of Sarajevo

Before concluding our tour we will pass by Grbavica neighborhood which was separation point between the two war sides (the Bosnian army and the Republic of Srpska army)
