Located on one of the highest points of Balneário Camboriú, 150 meters high, the monument "Cristo Luz" is 33 meters high, 22m wide and weighs 528 tons. It was carved by hand in mortar, and built of iron, steel and cement.

At 189.6 meters long and 11 meters wide in free span and equivalent to a nine-story building, the structure was named after the first raft of the river. Manoel Fermino da Rocha, better known as Maneca da Passagem, transported residents for 35 years from 1950 to 1985.

The walkway is the link between Central Beach and the Cultural and Historical Center of the City in the Barra District. It is open 24 hours a day and has the Municipal Guard and more than 40 surveillance cameras that perform the security of the place.
