Center and Santa Teresa - A Full History Tour Through the Old Rio de Janeiro

We begin this trip in the beautiful and old district of Santa Teresa. It is situated higher than the center and the buildings give you an insight into our ancient colonial architecture. The famous tram has been renovated recently and is a part of the cityscape again since 2015. It brings hundreds of locals as well as tourists to Santa Teresa every day at a slow and steady pace.
Afterward, we visit the center. We park the car and from there we walk to the old district of Lapa, the tiled stairs of the Chilean artist Seralon, the Cathedral, the Café Colombo, the historical Praça XV, the old cathedral, the church Candelária, the market alley, the cultural center of the Brazilian bank and the famous Cinelândia Square, where the Teatro Municipal, the National Museum, and the National Library are located. It is the seventh-largest library in the world.
Of course, we will also have time to talk, enjoy, watch and drink some coffee. The center of Rio easily stands up to any comparison.
