Cantareira Natural Park is one of the largest preserved forest areas in the urban perimeter of the world, and invites you to do the fascinating Macuco Trail and Waterfall Trail, at Engordador Nucleus. In addition to the trails, we also make a visit to the older water supply system of São Paulo city, listed as a historical heritage, encompassing the "Casa da Bomba" and Cantareira Dam complexes.

Itinerary

Stop At: Parque Estadual da Cantareira, Rua do Horto 1799 Horto Florestal, Sao Paulo, State of Sao Paulo 02377-000 Brazil

Arriving at the Park we gonna make a presentation of Cantareira Mountains and Natural Park, where we will visit the headquarters of Park to see the fauna interpretation center.

After safety instructions and conduct during the hiking we gonna start the hiking through the Macuco Trail to see and introduce some information about species of fauna and flora of Forest.
Total Distance - Macuco Trail: 1 km

The second hiking is on the Waterfall Trail where we gonna cross the Engordador River at different sites and we can make stops to take nice pictures and take a refreshing bath in two differents waterfalls.
Total distance - Waterfall Trail: 3,5 km

After the hiking we gonna visit the dam's belvedere and "Casa da Bomba", the old water supply system of São Paulo city. We'll finish the activity at the center of park where we will have free time for photos and enjoy a little more of nature.
