As its name implies, Prainha is a small beach, only 150 meters from a narrow strip of sand. It is located in Rio's West Zone, after Macumba Beach, in Grumari APA, between the Grumari and Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhoods.

Protected by the hills and rocks that surround it and covered by the abundant vegetation of native Atlantic Forest, this beach hides a unique beauty, with clear sands, crystal clear waters and a source of fresh water and wonderful waves. This makes Prainha to be considered as the best surf spot in Rio de Janeiro, a true paradise, host to several tournaments, as stages of the National and International Surfing Championships.
