You will also visit the Niterói Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC). This museum was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and contains 1,217 works that have been part of the art collector João Sattamini's collection since the 1950s. It is considered the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.

The Popular Theater is one of the works that integrate the Niemeyer Way, a cultural and tourist complex of the city designed by Oscar Niemeyer on the border between the south and the city center.
Access to the building that houses the theater is through a helical ramp, which reaches a foyer of approximately 580 square meters, and from there to the audience area, which will house 350 people and an outdoor space with the capacity of public with Maximum capacity for 20 000 seats. Its winding layout and reinforced concrete structure are characteristic of its creator.
From a ceramic-finished façade with drawings, on the opposite side of the building, a glass wall allows the public to see Guanabara Bay from inside the theater, which features a water mirror, ramps and spiral stairs, elements frequent in Niemeyer's works.
