Awesome scenery of beautiful mountain meadows and that familiar feeling which we have when looking to the world from the heights of a mountain peak - an emotion well-known to every mountaineer which makes you want to go back again and again.

If you are one of those people who are craving for such a unique scenery, but you haven’t walked through the necessary steep kilometers in order to conquer the hardest peaks in Bulgaria, the Berkovitsa mountain has a gift for you - Kom peak. With its 2016 meters, this is the second highest spot in Western Bulgaria. The easy, well-marked route towards the peak makes it an extremely popular destination amongst the beginners in the hiking adventures.

After our hiking adventure, we’ll be able to visit the house-museum of the great Bulgarian poet Ivan Vazov in Berkovitsa town where the writer created some of his best works.

This tour is suitable for beginners and medium-advanced hikers.

Pass By: Sofia History Museum, pl.Banski 1, Sofia 1000 Bulgaria

Often one route can be suitable at the same time for beginners and advanced hikers. This depends on the present conditions in the mountain.

The tour starts at 07:30 am when our tripvam representative will pick you up from your hotel.

After 2 hours drive, we’ll arrive at the place where we’ll begin our mountain adventure!

10:00 am – We begin our hiking towards Kom peak

2:00 pm – Rest time and lunch in a mountain hut

4:30 pm – Visit the house-museum of Ivan Vazov in Berkovitsa town

7:00 pm – Arrival back in Sofia
