The Revival Museum in Varna has undergone many transformations making it a place where you can feel the spirit of one of the most interesting times in Bulgarian history - the Revival era.

Being one of the largest Archaeological Museum in Bulgaria, it features 2,150 m² of exhibition area and shows original finds from the Paleolithic Age /about 100 000 years BC/ to the Middle Ages /7th – 8th/ century and the Bulgarian National Revival era.

We invite you on a journey 50 years back in time to see what Bulgaria looked like during the Socialism in the Retro Museum. On an area of 4000 square meters, you can find more than 60 retro cars, manufactured between 1944 and 1989, as well as thousands of artifacts from the socialist era. According to many visitors, the museum has no analogue in the world!

A desert in Europe? Yes! Here in Bulgaria, you can see a real desert with unique natural rock formations - The Stone Forest.

The Stone Forest is the only place in Bulgaria where the archaeologist found evidence of human life from the Mesolithic period (it is believed to be 50 million years old).

The Roman Thermal Baths are currently the largest ancient building discovered in Bulgaria so far. The comparatively well-preserved walls outline an imposing building. The plan of the building is almost symmetrical.

The Small Roman Thermae in Varna are the ruins of the later and much smaller public baths that functioned in the ancient Roman city of Odessus (Varna was known as Odessos in Thracian and Greek times). They are located in the southeastern part of today's Varna, further south than the large Roman Thermae.

Aladzha Monastery is one of the few cave monasteries in Bulgaria. It's situated in a beautiful area 18km north of Varna, near Zlatni Pyasatsi Resort (Golden Sands Resort), in the center of Zlatni Pyasatsi Nature Park (Golden Sands Nature Park).

The Varna Aquarium is a public aquarium in Varna and its exhibition focuses on the Black Sea’s flora and fauna – which includes over 140 fish species and also features freshwater fish, Mediterranean fish, exotic species from faraway areas of the world ocean, mussels and algae.

The Naval Museum in Varna takes you on an unforgettable journey into the history of the national naval and commercial fleet, with collections dedicated to ships, weapons and navigational instruments.

The zoo was officially opened in 1961 and soon became a favorite place for children and adults.

City Art Gallery Boris Georgiev opened in 1944 on an area of 1000 square meters and is divided into 8 exhibition halls. The gallery is named after the famous painter Boris Georgiev.

The Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery owns a significant collection of Bulgarian art from the early 20th century onwards, and most notably the largest collection of works by gallery patron Boris Georgiev.
