2 D 1 N Siem Reap Koh Ker Loas Border Bus Adventure - Jungle Lodge
A wonderful chance to travel through ancient Cambodia to Loas via the ancient ruins of Beng Melea & stunning Koh Ker. The Jungle Lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in this remote village of 85 families. Understand the many humanitarian projects undertaken here since 2004 by previous guests like themselves with over 34 deep wells built in the region. Visit a local school or just relax on the balcony. The next day, onward travel via Tbeng Meancey, capital Preah Vihear Province & Stung Treng on the Mekong . Guests can be dropped at Stung Treng or directly to the International border into Loas. A home cooked meal is included. It operates on solar power and a generator. The bathroom is an outside building & offer a cold water bucket shower & toilet. Guest have the uses of the full house. Two rooms are private, the rest being open space. Each bed has a mosquito net, white sheets, towel & pillow. Guests are asked to respect the very quiet nature of this village.
Itinerary
Day 1: Siem Reap to Beng Melea to Koh Ker
Stop At: Beng Mealea, 40 km east of Angkor Wat Cambodia
Once the hunting lodge of Angkor Wat & located on the ancient Angkorian highway, Route 66 that leads to the Great Preah Khan East and Koh Ker north east, this once deserted temple how has many visitors on a day basis. just what you expected to find in Cambodia.

Stop At: Chrey Temple, Beng Mealea Road 5 Minutes East of Beng Mealea Temple, Siem Reap Cambodia
A stunning beautiful satellite temple of Beng Mealea. Take this temple in.. away from the crowds and in silence. Covered in moss and ivy.. very very special.

Stop At: Koh Ker Temple, 100 Km North of Siem Reap Cambodia
. Koh Ker was the ancient 10-century capital of the Khmer Empire located 120 kms from Siem Reap. Guests can visit "Lingapura, City of the Lingas" , a series of housed linga temples before traveling on the main temple, Prasat Thom. Enter through the palaces before standing in awe of the main pyramid temple. Climb tot he top and enjoy views o the surrounding countryside as well as Koh Ker Village and lodge in the distance

Accommodation included: Koh Ker Jungle Lodge is a basic stilted wooden lodge, built in 2009 in rural Koh Ker Village. Solar power & generator.
Day 2: Koh Ker to Loas Border
Stop At: Kulen Prumep Wildlife Sanctuary, Tbeng Meanchey Cambodia
Following breakfast, we continue from Koh Ker to Tbeng Meanchey , the capital of Preah Vihear Province & pass through this wildlife sanctuary before reaching this provincial town.
Duration: 10 minutes
Pass By: Tbeng Meanchey Mountain, Ro'ang, Cambodia
Can be seen in the distance as we travel onwards to Stung Treng and the Loas border crossing.
Pass By: Stung Treng Border Crossing Station, Krong Stung Treng,, Stung Treng Cambodia
Guests can be dropped at Stung Treng border crossing into Loas, some 30 mins away from Stung Treng or if they prefer , the town of Stung Treng itself.
