Depart from your hotel just before 10am in an air conditioned minivan. As you travel towards the first village, you may stop at a lotus flower farm. Continue to the greatest fresh water lake in S.E Asia, the Tonle Sap. Once you are at the port area, either the Princess Tara or Lady Tara will be waiting to take you on a pleasant cruise into the floating villages. The first village you will see is a true floating village. Next, dock with our mother-ship the Queen Tara. Enjoy lunch and drinks on board the Queen Tara and then back onto the long tail traditional boats for the lake crossing and into the 2nd village of Kompong Phluk. This village is mainly populated of stilted homes. Depending on the time of year and the current water levels, you will either row through or walk through the flooded forest. Then take a walk along the main street of Kompong Phluk and visit the local pergola and the monks training school. As you head further east along the Kompong Phluk river you pass many more villages and fish markets (Kompong Phluk is mainly a fishing village). Once you exit the river, you will be driven in an air conditioned van back to your hotel, arriving at approximately 4:30 p.m.
