Explore the village of Phnom Krom on our half-day bicycle tour, located 12 kilometres away from Siem Reap town. Get to know the local livelihoods of this village, which overlooks the great lake—the Tonle Sap. At sundown, experience Phnom Krom at its finest with a beautiful sunset; capture the rich red and orange hues of the evening sky.

Stop At: Prasat Phnom Krom, Siem Reap Cambodia

Stop 1: Mushroom Farm

On our tour’s first stop, we will meet local mushroom harvesters. Mushrooms (not the psychedelic variety!) are central to many rural Cambodian dishes; find out more about this trade and its connection to the local community.

Stop 2: Lotus Farm

The lotus flower grows in mud, yet rises above it to grow untainted by its surroundings. In essence, the lotus is a symbol of purity and carries deep religious significance for the local Cambodian-Buddhist community. On our next stop, we take you to a lotus farm, where you will be able to learn more about this remarkable flower, sample its fruits, and purchase locally-made lotus products. The farm is also a wonderful photo opportunity!

Stop 3: Buddhist Temple

We will head to a pagoda frequented by the local community. Here, your guide will tell you more about religion in Cambodia, as well as the cultural practices connected to it.

Stop 4: Sunset on the Tonle Sap

On our final stop, we will go to the floating village of the Tonle Sap, where you will be able to photograph and interact with villagers who rely on fishing as their main source of sustenance. Your guides will then lead you to the beautiful spot for sunset either the splendid view of Tonle Sap Lake or the green paddy fields where you will be able to wind down and enjoy a beautiful unseen sunset. Our tour finish by the transfer from sunset spot to your hotel.
