The History Package

Our history package offers you the chance to delve deep into the rich history of both the Angkor Khmer Empire, and the traditional Khmer culture, that shaped the Cambodia that we know today.
- All activities and tickets are included in the fee and will be booked in advance of the trip by our team
- All transportation, both too and from activities, and outside of activities to any added extras you would like to do, will be included
- A trained and skilled Join The Ride Tour Tuk-Tuk driver, who will be your personal driver during your time in Siem Reap is included
- A detailed Tour Companion Guide, that will be emailed over to you prior to your trip is included

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pick Up

Pass By: Siem Reap International Airport, NR6, Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia
Whether you're flying, catching the bus, or even walking into Siem Reap, we'll come and pick you up and whisk you off to your hotel to kick-start your Join The Ride Tour!

Day 2: Angkor National Museum & Cultural Village

Stop At: Angkor National Museum, 968 Vithei Charles de Gaulle Blvd Khrum 6, Siem Reap Cambodia
Visit the Angkor National Museum and learn all about the history of Angkor, The Kingdom of Wonder and the Angkorian Khmer Empire!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Cambodian Cultural Village, Airport Road # 6, Khum Svay Dang Kum Krus Village, Siem Reap Cambodia
Spend the afternoon exploring the Cambodian Cultural Village, where you can learn more about specific Cambodian traditions as well as Khmer weddings and marriages and see models of Cambodian villages!

Stop At: Koulen II Restaurant, # 5, Street Sivutha, Mondul 2 Village, Krong Siem Reap 17252, Cambodia
Enjoy a traditional Khmer Apsara Dance Show and buffet in the evening.

Day 3: Angkor Wat

Stop At: Angkor Wat, Sangkat Nokor Thum, Siem Reap Cambodia
An early start allows you to catch a glimpse of the sunrise over the seventh man-made wonder of the world - Angkor Wat!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bayon Temple, Angkor Thom, Siem Reap Cambodia
Explore the rich history of Angkor as well as visit the smiling faces that oversee Bayon Temple, otherwise known as Angkor Thom.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ta Prohm, National Road #6 Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 17252 Cambodia
Grace the same ground as Angelina Jolie at Ta Prohm Temple, otherwise known as the Tomb Raider Temple.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Day 4: The Killing Fields

Stop At: Cambodia Landmine Museum, Angkor National Park, 7km south of Banteay Srey Temple, Siem Reap Cambodia
The afternoon will be spent at the landmine museum, learning about the landmines that still haunt certain areas of Cambodian countryside since the Khmer Rouge Regime.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Wat Thmey (Killing Fields), Siem Reap Cambodia
Spend the day learning all about the sordid history and deadly regime of the Khmer Rouge, who swept through Cambodia during the 70s as you visit a Killing Fields memorial here in Siem Reap.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: War Museum Cambodia, Kaksekam Village Sra Nge Commune, Siem Reap Cambodia
Your final stop of the day will be at the Cambodia War Museum where you can learn more about the fateful history of Cambodia and it's people.

Day 5: Beng Mealea

Stop At: Beng Mealea, 40 km east of Angkor Wat Cambodia
Visit the beautiful and mysterious, jungle-consumed Beng Mealea temple. Look out for the hidden carvings tucked away behind the rubble and foliage as you experience what it's really like to Indiana Jones!

Day 6: Airport Drop Off

Pass By: Siem Reap International Airport, NR6, Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia
The time has come to wave goodbye to your Join The Ride Tour Driver and your new Cambodian friends and head-off on your onwards journey! We are happy to provide drop-off anywhere that is needed.
