Immigrants and Architects: Story of Toronto
Like many other cities, Toronto has a unique architectural character, wonderful food, and rich cultural experiences. Though a young city, we also have a history of fires, battles, scandals, explorers, First Nations and large diverse immigration. On my tour, I will share with you the fascinating stories about my city as I show you the architectural highlights, interesting places and unique food hubs. You will hear the stories of escaped slaves, peddlers, bootleggers and activists who lived in the area of Queen Street. And you will see historical photos of the city and the dwellers a 100 years ago.
Then we will go to Queen West. The iconic street that earned the title of the 2nd hippest street in the world by Vogue. (First was in Tokyo). This street was the first to sell legalized Pot. . And then we will look at some out of this world Graffiti that includes the best depiction of Toronto.
