Ports of Lake Erie Cycle Tour

Includes a complete 4 day itinerary with map, turn by turn route guide, all of the reservations that you require for accommodation, bicycle rental, luggage transfer and travel insurance and telephone help line. The cost of the reserved services is additional. This includes a door to door route map, turn by turn directions, topography and information on attractions, events, restaurants and bike shops. The route is a loop which returns to the starting point where you can leave your motor vehicle. 

4 days - 275 kilometers - 53 to 79 kilometers per day 

Average 71 kilometers (44 miles) per day.

Gentle terrain (flat to rolling).  Loop route.

Beaches, historic, waterfront, natural areas, camping, winery.

Route is on bicycle friendly quiet paved roads and improved gravel rail trail.

The route begins on the Thames River bike paths of London which is has several summer festivals crossing beautiful farmland to Ontario’s dairy capital of Woodstock. Stop to see two roadside attractions: Holstein cow Springbank Snow Countess in Woodstock and  Jumbo the elephant in St. Thomas. 

The ride includes the rail trail from Scotland through Simcoe to Port Dover and 

follows close to the Lake Erie shore.

Port Dover is a tourist centre with summer theatre and restaurants with 

 fresh Lake Erie perch and pickerel. On any Friday the thirteenth you will find yourself a part of as unique celebration with hundreds of recreational motorcyclists from near and far.

For a longer ride the route can easily be combined with the Theatre to Theatre route.
