Discover Scuba Diving

If you have never experienced diving before and are dying to see what it’s like underwater, this is for you! You don’t need to hold any diving qualifications as we provide a short theory session to explain the basic rules of diving. This is followed by a pool session to get you familiar with your diving equipment. When you are ready, you are taken out for a dive into the clear blue warm capeverdean waters. On the dive, you get to explore our amazing underwater environment and get a lifetime memory.
Minimum age required: 10 years old.

Itinerary

The Discover Scuba Diving consists of a 20minute video or briefing where the basic principles of diving are explained, you get familiar with the equipment and a few basic skills are explained. This is followed by a pool session in a confinated water. In the pool you get to wear all the gear, get familiar and comfortable wearing it and you are taught a few basic skills. Once these are done you have your first try at diving by swimming around the swimming pool. This session takes about 45min, however it is key that you feel comfortable so take as long as you need.
In the afternoon we go to the sea. You will be able to dive from 6m to max. 12m, but we go down slowly and can choose to stay shallower for approximately 35min depending on your air consumption. At this point you will be able to explore the underwater world under the direct supervision of the instructor.
