In Compay Eco Safari we take you to know and enjoy the true Dominican culture in an adventure in which aboard modified 6 × 6 trucks we will leave the Punta Cana area and travel to Higüey, the largest city in the Eastern Region of the Republic Dominican

On our journey we will stop at a local school, which is sponsored by the Compay Safari team, in a community project that benefits children from different towns with basic education.

We cross vast fields of sugar cane, which are very common in the East of the Dominican Republic and represent one of the largest sources of income in the country.

We will visit one of the most important religious monuments of the country, the Higüey Basilica, a modern Catholic sanctuary contributed in honor of the Virgin of Altagracia, patron saint of the Dominican Republic.

Leaving the city, we head towards the Eastern Cordillera, which has an average height of 800 meters above sea level, there you will get to know the Dominican countryside in all its splendor, and you will be able to taste locally made products, such as cocoa, coffee, tobacco and mamajuana (a traditional Dominican drink, famous for its aphrodisiac properties).

Then you can take a short horseback ride around our ranch, where you can also enjoy an open buffet with typical Dominican food.

To end the day we will visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, Playa Macao, recognized by UNESCO as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, where you can enjoy a refreshing bath, before returning to the hotel.
