Itinerary

Day 1: Las Américas Airport - Colonial Zone, Santo Domingo

Pass By: Novus Plaza Hodelpa, Calle Hostos Esq, Santo Domingo 10210, Dominican Republic
Welcome at the airport by our local representative. Transfer to the hotel in Santo Domingo. Installation in the hotel to rest. Accommodation at the hotel in Santo Domingo.

Day 2: Santo Domingo - Barahona

Stop At: Santo Domingo Excursion, Santo Domingo Dominican Republic
After breakfast, walk through the colonial area of Santo Domingo, the oldest city in the New World. A guide will accompany you during this walk to help you discover the riches of this city with its invaluable colonial past and to permeate you with its culture and its history.

After the visit to the Colonial Zone, you will be given your car early in the afternoon to take the southwest coast of the island. 210 km of motorway travel is approximately 2:30 hours. Arrival in Barahona and check in at the hotel. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel in Barahona.

Day 3: Barahona

A whole day to discover the best protected region of the country where nature is revealed in its beautiful national parks, surrounded by huge lakes and paradisiacal landscapes, which converge at the end in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. This coast is still the ideal space for relaxation and rest as well as enjoying the pleasures of a good dip.

Day 4: Barahona - Santiago

Departure to Santiago, "the heart city" is in the center of the lush Cibao Valley. The route takes approximately 3h30 or 281 km, by highway.
Santiago is the cradle of rum and tobacco, it is also the second largest city in the country, and its region offers a perfect combination of history, culture and exuberant nature.
Thanks to its large tobacco plantations, the Dominican Republic manufactures cigars that are appreciated worldwide, the production represents two thirds of the world market for premium handmade cigars. Feel free to include a visit to the Tobacco Museum.

Day 5: Santiago - Las Terrenas, Samana Peninsula

Departure to Samana 245 km north of Santo Domingo (approximately 2:30 by car) It is perhaps one of the best kept secrets of the Dominican Republic; The Samaná peninsula and its sublime bay. It is a true tropical paradise composed of a vast land and sea nature reserve.

Day 6: Las Terrenas, Samana Peninsula

Pass By: Las Terrenas, Samana, Rep.Dominicana, Las Terrenas 32000, Dominican Republic
Discovery in total freedom of the Las Terrenas region. The program provides for swimming and relaxation, but a wide variety of excursions is also possible. One of the most beautiful places on the island, the Fishing Village in Las Terrenas, immediately places you in the special atmosphere of this beautiful region with an undeniable charm. Do not miss the promenade to enjoy the magnificent views and savor a delicious dish of fish or seafood.

Recommended visits:

Whale watching: it's a must! From mid January to mid March. Jeep, buggy, quad or horse safaris that allow you to discover the splendid landscapes of the peninsula.

Salto del Limón (40 meters high), 10 km from Las Terrenas. It is accessed by horse (2 hours ride) and then walk before swimming in its beautiful natural pool.

Los Haitises National Park: hills covered with dense vegetation, islets, sea routes that meander through the mangroves. Not to mention the impressive number of caves that enclose some of the pre-Columbian inscriptions.

Day 7: Las Terrenas - Las Americas Airport, Santo Domingo

Pass By: AILA-JFPG, Ruta 66, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
After breakfast, head to Santo Domingo airport or Bayahibe for an extension by the sea.
Return of the vehicle to Santo Domingo airport or Viva Whydam Beach hotel in Bayahibe.
Take off to your country of origin or extend your stay in Bayahibe for 3, 5 or 7 nights, depending on the option chosen.
