Snorkel Beach and Island Explorer Shore Excursion

Leave the crowds behind and enjoy a day of snorkeling and beaches while our experienced, local guides relate the historical and current highlights of our island home. Our small group tour allows you to enjoy the day at your own pace. Maximize your snorkeling time without the constraint of bells or whistles calling you back to the boat. Relax, sit back and let the knowledgeable guides show you all that this beautiful island has to offer. Our all inclusive price includes transportation/pickup, drinks, food and snorkel gear rental.

We have been touring this island for over 10 years and we have a few little surprises that you won't see on many of the other cookie-cutter, crowded, big boat tours!

For our on-island guests we meet at our marina in Cole Bay for departure by 9:00 a.m. For our Cruise Ship guests, we pickup from Dock Maarten at 9:30 a.m. After a short but important safety briefing, we set sail for some serious fun in the sun.

Our standard itinerary includes 2 snorkeling stops and 2 beach stops. The actual locations we visit are of course, dependent on the prevailing weather and sea conditions.

As we make our way to our first snorkel/beach stop, we'll pass by several local landmarks including Fort Amsterdam, Simpson Bay Lagoon, Marigot, Fort Louis, Creole Rock, Tintamarre Island and Pinel Island, just to name a few. Your boat crew on this tour are all experienced local guides and have a wealth of stories to entertain you with. Some of them may even be true!

The boat is stocked with plenty of water, sodas, local beers and rum punch and it's all yours for the entire tour. Your tour includes a delicious picnic lunch, prepared fresh daily, which we serve up at one of our beach stops. If you're a little hungry before we get to lunch, don't worry, we have some light snacks on board to fill the gap.

Our crew members are all experienced, local guides and are always on hand to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the day. At each snorkeling stop, the crew will be in the water with you, always ready and willing to reach out that helping hand or to help you identify that fish or coral species. On the boat, the crew will point out the local modern and historical highlights as you travel around the island. The commentary is both fun and informative.

Snorkel gear rental is included in your tour price. Our equipment is well maintained, cleaned and disinfected after each use. By all means, feel free to bring your own if you prefer. At each snorkel stop, our crew is on hand to help you gear up and get wet. If you are a first time snorkeler or if you haven't done it in a while, fear not. Your crew is there to help with some patient guidance. A guide will be in the water with you.  For your safety and comfort, there is always a guide in the water and a lookout posted on the boat. Each snorkel stop generally last 30 - 40 minutes but we are flexible if you want more/less  time in the water.

We stop at some amazing beaches. We have some 37 to choose from! Our favorite beaches include Tintamarre, Pinel Island, Long Bay, Grand Case, just to name a few. There is a beach here to suit everyone's need. Deserted beaches? Beaches with a bar? We can even find a topless/nude beach if that's your thing (of course, only if the entire tour group agrees, we are after all a family friendly tour).

Once you have had all the fun and adventure you can handle (or about 5 - 6 hours by our calculation), we return you to your departure location to continue your holiday or re-board your cruise ship with plenty of time to spare.
