Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Valle De La Luna, San Pedro de Atacama Chile

16:00 to 20:30: Tour to Valle de la Luna.
We will start the tour departing from the center of San Pedro de Atacama towards the Cordillera de la Sal in the Atacama Desert, the driest place on earth, in the direction of one of its most picturesque points: the Moon Valley. The names already give a clear clue to the landscape, where rock formations modeled by erosion, salt mantles and views that will make you feel like on another planet reign.

We will cross the valley transversely, visiting its famous rock formations: the Three Marias, the Canyon, the Amphitheater and the Coyote Stone. To end the tour, we will enjoy the sunset from a natural viewpoint, where you can see how the desert is changing color, with large volcanoes on the horizon, offering a show that will leave you speechless.

Stop At: Lagunas Miscanti y Miniques, Caracoles 174b, San Pedro de Atacama 1410000 Chile

We will leave from San Pedro de Atacama towards the south, crossing the Salar de Atacama basin. First we will visit the town of Toconao, its Church of San Lucas and its old fruit orchards. Then we will go to the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile and the third largest salt flat in the world.

Once on the salt flat, we will walk along the paths of the Chaxa lagoon, which is part of the Los Flamencos national reserve. This lagoon is a nesting place and habitat for the three species of flamingos that inhabit Chile: Andean flamenco, Chilean flamenco and James flamenco.

Later, we will visit the Altiplanic lagoons, starting with the Miscanti lagoon. It is a nesting site for the tagua cornuda, bird of the Altiplano, and is located at the foot of the Miscanti hill, in the Andes mountain range next to its sister, the Miñiques lagoon. This lagoon is at the foot of the Miñiques volcano, whose eruption involves the formation of the two lagoons millions of years ago.

On the way back, we will pass through the town of Socaire, a place that is characterized by the maintenance of cultivated terraces since pre-Hispanic times. In the end, we will reach San Pedro de Atacama.
