Our tour is different because we combine knowledge with adventure, in the heart of the Andes Mountains, in the Cajon del Maipo. We offer a walking tour in a National Park accompanied by an expert Geologist in the Andes, with more than 20 scientific articles and more than 20 years of experience in mountaineering and climbing, which provides great confidence and security in the knowledge delivered. Our trip will include a mountain guide with experience in first aid, rescue and different mountain terrain in South America.

Itinerary

Stop At: Monumento Natural El Morado, Ruta G-25, Km. 93, San Jose de Maipo Chile

In this option we will visit 'El Morado Natural Monument', a national park managed by CONAF (National Forestry Corporation of Chile). It is an 8 km long walk where we will see several geological objects, including: volcanoes, active faults, landslides, glaciers, and hydrothermal activity; We will also discuss the Andean evolution. The objective of this trip is to learn about the Andes Mountains with a very comfortable hike at more than 1750 m.a.s.l.

Stop At: Glaciar Colgante El Morado, San Jose de Maipo Chile

In this option we will walk 3-4 hrs to a hanging glacier, at the bottom of which there is a lagoon. We will see the vertical layers of the Mesozoic era in beautiful glacial valleys.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mirador de Los Condores, San Jose de Maipo Chile

In this option we will walk 3 hours to a viewpoint, home of many condors. We will observe the volcanic and volcanoclastic stratified rocks of the Cenozoic era.
