Premium Full Day Tour to Chiloe visiting Ancud and Pinguin Colony
We will go to the town of Pargua and take a ferry to sail the Chacao Channel, which will take us to the Island of Chiloé. Visit the town of Chacao, and after a few minutes touring the town, we will go to the town of Puñihuil, to the sector of the Pingüineras. After that, take a 30-minute navigation to the islets to appreciate Humboldt and Magellanic penguins. After our boat ride through the bay, we will return by a coastal road to the city of Ancud, famous for its local craft market. After a few minutes in Ancud, we will take route 5 to connect with a interior mino where we can observe the Chilote field.

The Chacao Channel is a channel located in the southern region of Chile that separates the southwestern coast of the American continent from the north coast of the Big Island of Chiloé joining the Gulf Coronados with the Gulf of Ancud.

Chacao, founded as San Antonio de Chacao, is a Chilean town belonging to the commune of Ancud, located on the northern tip of the Isla Grande de Chiloé, in the Los Lagos Region.
It constitutes the northern gateway to the Chiloé archipelago, since on its coasts is the main jetty that joins it to the mainland in the Pargua area, by means of a ferry service that runs all year round.

Stop At: Islotes de Punihuil, Isla Chiloe Chile
In 1999 the 3 little islets of Puñihuil were declared Natural Monument because they are an important site for the reproduction of the Humboldt and the Magellanic penguins. A mixed penguin colony like this is not very common in Chile. In addition, the islets are the habitat for several other birds and also marine otters.
In order to protect this particular eco system, the boat trips are operated in accordance with a local regulation which limits the number of tours per day.
