Stop At: Historic Quarter of the Seaport City of Valparaiso, Valparaiso Chile

No trip to Chile is complete without visiting the colorful coastal cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Our tour begins with your private pick up at the cruise terminal in Valparaiso. We will first stop at Punta Angeles Lighthouse where you will have a panoramic view of the entire harbor. Then, we head to the city center at Plaza Sotomayor and ride up an old funicular to Concepcion and Alegre Hills. Bohemian and colorful, Valparaiso’s maze of hills has long inspired poets and writers. You will discover something new at every turn – a gem of a building, a remarkable art gallery or some little gastronomic ‘find’. Revel in the architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage City. Stroll along its narrow streets, climb its endless staircases, and enjoy panoramic views from its many lofty lookout points. After exploring the hills, we will go on a 30-minute boat ride around the harbor. We then drive through Viña del Mar, Chile’s “Garden City,” where you will see the city’s landmarks, including the Flower Clock and Casino, a “Moai” statue from Easter Island, as well as the city’s pristine beaches. We will then go to Reñaca to see sea lions on the rocky shoreline. Afterwards, we will head towards the majestic sand dunes in Concón where you will have the option to climb to the summit offering breathtaking ocean views from atop, or as an alternative we will stop at the “Roca Oceánica” lookout point at the base of the sand dunes for spectacular photos of the harbor.
