Stop At: Valle De La Luna, San Pedro de Atacama Chile
The Moon Valley is located in the Domeyko mountain range and is one of the must-see landscapes for those who visit San Pedro de Atacama. It is characterized by its huge dunes, the largest of which is the Valle de la Luna Amphitheater of about 40 meters formed by rock, salt and sand.

There are several studies that indicate that in the Valley of the Moon there was a large lake, but that due to volcanic activity and floods the Domeyko mountain range formed, which is the basis of this landscape. This is how valleys and hills of salt, rock and sand formed, free of flora and fauna, and an earth-like landscape similar to the moon was formed.

Very close to the Valley of the Moon is the Death Valley which is a true sand chasm located just 6 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama. Its name is because bones have been found (human and animal) and it is believed that everyone who tried to cross this valley, died on the road. Like the Valley of the Moon it is characterized by its strange geological forms, its incredible rock sculptures and sand dunes.

Day 2: • Gêisers del Tatio Tour

Tatio geysers are the highest geothermal field in the world. Meet the huge fumaroles that emanate from the earth and then we will visit Machuca town in the Chilean highlands.
We will leave from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama at 4:30 AM and start up the Chilean highlands to reach the Geysers of Tatio, the highest geothermal field in the world. We will arrive at this place shortly before 7AM, when steam fumaroles emerge more strongly, reaching temperatures above 85 ° C.

After observing this show, we will begin the descent towards San Pedro de Atacama. On the way we will pass through Machuca which is a town of 20 houses and a church that opens so that tourists can visit it. In this town you can buy typical crafts from the Chilean highlands.

Day 3: Lagunas Antiplanicas Tour • Salar de Atacama Tour

The Altiplanic Lagoons (Miscanti and Miñiques) are located in the Chilean highlands, more than 4 thousand meters high, and can be visited by day from San Pedro de Atacama.

The lagoons, whose water sources are underground, are at the foot of two volcanoes, with which they share the same name: Miscanti and Miñiques.

Due to its natural wealth, the area is home to numerous animal species, mainly highland birds that use the lagoons as a breeding and nesting area. Among them you can find the Tagua Cornuda, Pato Juarjual, Pato Jergón Chico, Chilean Flamenco, Andean Gull, Blanquillo and Baird Beach. In its surroundings it is also possible to see groups of vicuñas.
For all who visit the highland lagoons, Socaire is a must. It is a typical Chilean highland town, located at 3500 meters above sea level. Its church is Historical Heritage since it has important colonial works, built of adobe, beams of chañar and cactus.

This area is characterized because it was very exploited for the extraction of gold, however today you can see fruit trees, quinoa, alfalfa and corn. Another activity is grazing llamas and sheep.

In Socaire it is common to find small houses without a window, a bell tower that was built with edged stone. Tourists can find handicrafts such as wool fabrics from sheep and camelids.
