Don Francisco Undurraga, an entrepreneur of the nineteenth century, was one of the pioneers of viticulture in Chile and founder of the Vine Undurraga. Personally, with plants brought from France and Germany, under the supervision of the famous French winegrower M. Pressac, he developed the first vineyards on the Santa Ana Farm, named after his wife Dona Ana Fernández Iñiguez. This farm, located in Talagante, 34 kms. Santiago, in the heart of the Maipo Valley, learned the first plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewürstraminer vines in 1885 and as early as 1903, the first shipments were shipped to USA Today, over 120 years of tradition, Undurraga is present with its brands in more than 60 countries in the five continents.
