W Trek Express - 4 days

This version of the W Trek route is designed for travelers with less time. The main difference is that on the first day, you will start hiking to the Base Torres viewpoint. During the 4-day tour, you will enjoy one of the most impressive treks in South America and experience the majestic landscapes of the Chilean Patagonia. This option is self-guided, therefore, you will walk freely through the perfectly defined trails. You will stay in different areas along the famous W route. The tour includes everything you need to enjoy this experience (transfers, accommodation, food, tickets..). You just have to decide if you want to stay in a campsite or a refugio (recommended). The most important areas you will visit during this tour are Base Torres, Los Cuernos, Valle Francés and the Glaciar Grey Viewpoint. In these beautiful places, you will see colossal mountains, deep blue glaciers and forests that are so stunning, they seem to be from a fairytale.

Itinerary

Day 1: Puerto Natales - Mirador Base Torres (viewpoint)

Stop At: Torres Del Paine National Park, Torres del Paine National Park Chile
Difficulty: High - 19,5 Km (8 - 10 hours)
Initial altitude: 120 msnm
Maximum altitude: 870 msnm

Departing from Puerto Natales after a technical talk where we will have collected our voucher and map the day before, we will have to show up at 6:30 am to catch the bus that will take us to Torres del Paine National Park. We will go to the Mirador Base Torres (an spectacular viewpoint), enjoy the visit and then return to the Sector Central for dinner and sleep.

Day 2: Trekking Sector Francés

Stop At: Torres Del Paine National Park, Torres del Paine National Park Chile
Difficulty: Moderate - 13,5KM (4,5 - 6,5 hours)
Altitude accumulated: 200m
Accommodation: Sector Cuernos o Francés

We will surround Lake Nordenskjöld, Cerro Almirante Nieto and Cuernos del Paine, walking about 13.5 km and we can enjoy the views of these emblematic places such as hanging glaciers and impressive lakes. During the journey we can also marvel at the vegetation and unique animals that this trekking offers.

Day 3: Trekking Sector Cuernos/Francés

Stop At: Torres Del Paine National Park, Torres del Paine National Park Chile
Difficulty: High - 17,5 Km (7 - 9 hours)
Initial altitude: 120 msnm
Maximum altitude: 762 msnm
Accommodation: Sector Francés

We will start the day with a light walk to the Campamento Italiano. We can admire the landscapes offered by the forests of the Valle del Río Francés, walking approximately 2 km. We will continue the walk to the mirador Francés (yet another marvelous viewpoint), where the impressive views of the symbolic Cerro Paine Grande, Catedral, Hoja, Máscara, Espada, Aleta de Tiburón y Cuerno Norte will leave us speechless. Once we have enjoyed the incredible scenery, we will return to the Sector Francés.

Day 4: Trekking to sector Glaciar Grey - Navegación Lago Pehoé and return to Puerto Natales

Difficulty: High - 19 Km (6 - 8 hours)
Initial altitude: 43 msnm
Maximum altitude: 313 msnm

On our last day we will border the Cerro Paine Grande, being the highest point of the Massif (3,050 m) and enjoying the spectacular hanging glaciers. We will pass through Nirres, Coigües and Notros to reach the first viewpoint of Lago Grey where we will have one of the best views of this tour - the incredible Glaciar Grey. After losing ourselves with such magnificent views, we will return to the Sector Paine Grande to board the Catamaran at 6:30 p.m. that will take us to Pudeto. From there, we will take the bus to return to Puerto Natales.
