WHALEWATCHING FRANCISCO COLOANE MARINE PARK and DOME CARLOS III - 3Days

Enjoy The Francisco Coloane Marine Park, Do whalewatching in this remote area of Chile surrounded by beautiful landscape & nature panoramic. You'll know all about the Humpback Whales & all the scientific update in this zone. 

You'll visit the Strait of Magellan, Froward Cape, Carlos III Island, Rupert Islet, Santa Inés Glacier and more 

The tour include transportation from and to your acommodation in Punta Arenas; all meals; scientific talk and the acommodation in our EcoCamp located in Carlos III Island

Day 1: We will pick you up between 8:00 and 8:30 am on your lodging place to go to Punta Carrera. There we board our boat at 09:00 am and head to Carlos III Island. The trip’s duration is about 9 hours of navigation during which we will pass historic places like

Cape Froward, San Isidro Lighthouse and Fort Bulnes. Approaching the destination area, we will make sightings of whales before arriving at the camp located on Carlos III.

Day 2: We will spend the second day exploring the marine park and go to the

whales’ feeding grounds. Furthermore we will see colonies of

penguins, large marine and terrestrial birds like the

condor or the giant Antarctic petrel and sea lions. There will also be a visit of Santa Inés

Glacier.

Day 3: On Rupert Islet right in front of Carlos III Island, there is a big

Magellan penguin colony, which we will visit, before starting the journey

back to Punta Arenas, always looking out for other whale sightings. Arrival in Punta Arenas is scheduled for about 7:30 pm, where we will bring you back to your place of lodging.
