Start from pick up point, get to the first stop-Hongya Cave, a China town in China, cool traditional style architeture nearby the joint point of 2 big rivers in town with an outstanding city view, nice place to learn the local culture and city history.

Stop At: People's Assembly Hall, No.173 Renming Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing 400015 China

A mock Manchurian architecture sort of like Temple of Heaven in Forbiden city Beijing but much bigger. Being considered lamdmark of Chongqing city, a must-go photo site. Travelers might also explore an open market nearby and taste some real local special flavor there, this would be a highlight. The Peoples Assembly Hall+open market neaby+a simple lunch roughly takes 2 hours.

A viewing point in downtown, former private garden of General Chiang Kai Shek, nice place to learn local Mha-Jong life style and open tea house, nice view of Yangtze and the city center, travelers might also take a visit of a war musuem nearby all about General Stilwell and Flying Tiger Team of World War II, or a unique Chongqing thing-a monorail train straight through one apartment building. If go inside that war museum that would cost you 15 Chinese yuan.

One of the few Buddhism temples still preserved in downtown, quite small but marks one part of the history of Chongqing. A wholesell market across street also brings lots of fun.

Get cross Jialing River to the City Opera House, a modern avant-garde designed architecture standing right nearby where Jialing River joins Yangtze River, the central point of Chongqing, travelers might take a walk around this giant buiding, enjoy the view of this huge mountain city and Hongya Cave from a unique angle.
