Itinerary

Day 1: Zhangjiajie Arrival

Stop At: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain Ticket Station, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie 427000 China
Welcome to Zhangjiajie! Please book the flight arriving at Zhangjiajie before 14:00 pm. Upon your arrival, your local guide will greet you at the exit of arrival hall by holding a name sign. Before getting off the plane, please double check your belongings to ensure you have collected all your staff. Then your guide ad driver will take you to explore Tianmen Mountain, famous for Tianmen Cave (which means a gate to the heaven in Chinese). You will take the 7,455-meter-long cable car up to the top of Tianmen Mountain for 28 minutes, appreciating the amazing scenery and taking photos of the coiling road of 99 turns on the way. Then you will explore the mountain, walk on the thrilling glass Sky Walk hanging on the cliff and visit Tianmen Mountain Temple which was built in the Tang Dynasty and became the center of Buddhism activities in western Hunan. Next get to Tianmen Cave, a natural water-eroded cave with the highest elevation in the world. From ancient to modern times, numerous people from emperors to normal people come here to pray for blessings. You can conquer the 999 steps to Tianmen Cave and enjoy the wonderful scenery from above. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you to your downtown hotel for a good rest.

Day 2: Zhangjiajie Tour

Stop At: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427000 China
In the morning, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby and then start today’s adventure with Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It’s the first national forest park in China and was included in World Natural Heritage List in 1992 for the queer forest of quartz sandstone peaks. You will see the pillars rise hundreds of meters into the sky, stroll along tranquil valleys and feel rejuvenated by the fresh air.

Stop At: Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
Then head to Yellow Stone Village. With an altitude of more than 1200 meters, it’s the largest and best observation deck to overlook the quartz sandstone peak forest. You can hear the story of Zhang Liang being saved by Huang Shi from your guide while you are walking, and you may come across cute monkeys on the way.

Stop At: Jinbian Brook, Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie, China
Next you will move on to Golden Whip Stream, one of the most beautiful sites in Zhangjiajie. The stream winds its way through the hills and valleys and got its name because of passing by the Golden Whip Rock. Just listen to the murmurs of the stream, stroll along the valley and stop to watch the fish swimming in the crystal clear water.

Stop At: Baofeng Lake, Suoxi Town, Wulingyuan District Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
The last stop is Baofeng Lake, which is the only water themed scenic spot in Zhangjiajie. Its picturesque scenery even attracts TV crews to come here. You can have a pleasant cruise watching the peaks being reflected on the lake and enjoying the folk songs from local Tujia minority girls in traditional costume. After the whole day tour, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Zhangjiajie Departure

Stop At: Tianzi Mountain, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
In the morning, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby and check out as you will take departure flight directly after today’s tour. Please pack your belongings in advance. Today’s first stop is Tianzi Mountain. There is a saying that you will not want to see any other mountains after visiting Tianzi Mountain. One of the spectacular sights is the sea of clouds after rain if you are lucky. You will witness rugged rocks and a forest of stone peaks which looks like a group of warriors listening to orders.

Stop At: Zhangjiajie, Zhangjiajie, Hunan
After lunch, we will go to explore Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in the super famous movie Avatar. You can experience Bailong Elevator, the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. You will be amazed by the speed of the elevator, only 1 minute and 58 seconds up to Yuanjiajie. When you step out of the elevator, a magical landscape painting will unfold in front of you. The massive quartz-sandstone pillars are just towering over you or next to you.

Stop At: Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, Zhangjiajie China
Then move on to challenge yourslef at the longest and highest Glass Bridge in the world with a length of 430 meters. You can have a panoramic view of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon walking on the transparent glass floor. You may be scared to step on the bridge at first, but once you take the first step, you will enjoy the magnificent view of flying waterfalls, lush forests, running streams. After all the activities, it’s time to say goodbye to Zhangjiajie. Your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight. Our service will end here. Wish you a pleasant journey.
