Then travel to the World Heritage Site, Giant Buddha in Leshan. In the Panda Base, you will see lovely Giant Pandas and much smaller but more energetic Red Pandas. If lucky, you will also see newly born or very young Pandas. It's a reserve centre where Pandas are really taken good care of, and trying to help them with the issue of extremely low newborn rate.

The Leshan Giant Buddha is a statue of Maitreya in sitting posture. The Buddha is located at the confluence of three rivers. The statue makes itself the most renowned scenic spot in that city. Begun in the year 713 in the Tang Dynasty, and finished in the year 803, the statue took people more than 90 years to carve. During these years, thousands of workers had expended their efforts and wisdom on the project.
