Chinese Calligraphy and Zen meditation

The 2 hours experience include 30 mins Zen meditation and 90 mins Calligraphy session.

Through Zen meditation, you will gain profound insights into how the mind works. Meditation involves observing and letting go of the thoughts and feelings that arise in the mind stream. You will find it unforgettable.

For the calligraphy part, you just have to be enthusiastic and be willing to hold a brush. This is what you will get:
- Gain knowledge of the Four Treasures (brush, ink, paper, and ink stone)
- Learn writing techniques through one-on-one instruction
- Understand the symbolic meaning of the Chinese characters you write
- Try your hand at major styles of calligraphy: oracle, bronze ware, bamboo slab, and cursive

- Cultivate concentration with a relaxed mind and body
- Appreciate the inner relationship between writing and Qi/breathing.

Our center is in the Folk Custom Village, after the 2 hours experience, travelers can spend another 1 hour tour round the

Gaobeidian Folk Custom Village which is famous for its Classical Furniture Street and Tea House Cultural Street in Beijing. The 1.5 kilometers long Classical Furniture Street is home to over 300 stores which deal mainly in furniture from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
