Yangshuo, surrounded by Karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River, is a must-visit wonder of Guilin. Itinerary

Day 1: Take Li River Cruise to YangShuo

Stop At: Li River, East of Guangxi Zhuang China
Embark the boat and enjoy the Li River Cruise to Yangshuo.
You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. En route your guide will point out limestone formations of special interest and relate the legends that are associated with many of the pinnacles.
Disembark at Yangshuo, a small town known for its natural scenery features.

Stop At: West Street, East Side of Li River, Yangshuo County 541900 China
The West Street in Yangshuo is also another shopping paradise for tourists as well as locals. Strictly speaking, the West Street could not be defined as scenic spot. It is consist of eating, shopping, bars, and other things. And because of these rich and colorful things to do in the West Street, West Street has become a unique and beautiful scenery line in the Yangshuo.

Day 2: Experience Bamboo rafting, and making your own fan in an ancient town

Stop At: Yulong River, Yangshuo, Yangshuo County China
Bamboo raft in a smaller river called Yulong River.
Yulong River is the biggest branch of the Li River in YangShuo County. The clear water runs smoothly past fields, farmhouses, trees and mountains. Traveling by bamboo raft you will be surrounded by the crystal water and feel relaxed and happy in the arms of the green mountains.

Stop At: Fuli Ancient Town, Fuli Town, Yangshuo County 542706 China
In the afternoon, stroll around Fuli Ancient town, which is known also as Chinese Painted Fan Town as exquisitely painted fans are created here. When you walk along the town’s Ancient Street, you will find a great variety of painted fans for sale. They are handcrafted from mao bamboo from beside Li River and local tissue paper. Open a fan, and you will see a beautiful and colorful painted Guilin landscape or a poem extolling the wonders of Yangshuo. In here, you will have special experience making your own fan.

Day 3: Overland transfer to Longsheng Rice Terraces

Stop At: Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, 80 kilometers from Guilin, Longsheng County 541701 China
You may already seen rice paddies and terraces elsewhere in Asia, but nothing compared with the beauty of the Longji Rice Terraces.
To go to China and skip these rice terraces would be a loss.
These 600+ year-old terraces are still very much in use and feed the local Yao and Zhuang communities; we’re just lucky we get to enjoy their beauty.
Best time visiting from spring to fall.

Day 4: Easy Hiking in Longsheng Rice Terraces then end in Guilin

Stop At: Ping'an Village, Within the County, Longsheng County 541700 China
Enjoy your day tour in LongJi Rice Terrace, the terraces look like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill. They were built from the Yuan dynasty to the beginning of Qing dynasty by the minority peoples of the area. A 40-minute walk up the stone covered paths and steps reveal the Dragon's Backbone, which is called "The champion of the terrace world". Visit Zhuang village and Yao minority villages, and Ping'an village, the architecture is unique as no nails are used in construction. The different minority customs and local people's dressing style are especially delicate and beautiful.
In late noon we will drive back to Guilin directly.
