The first stop of the tour is the Canton Tower(not going up), as a new landmark, located in the new CBD and the Pearl River landscape axis, you can also take photos and enjoy the views along the Pearl River. Completed in 2010, the tower used to be the world’s highest freestanding structure before losing its crown to Tokyo’s Skytree and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Gaze at the twisted tower — still the tallest structure in China and East Asia — and ascend to the observatory for spectacular aerial views over the city.
