Stop At: Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, No.259 Dongfeng Middle Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou 510030 China

It is a memorial building to commemorate Sun Yat-sen, the great revolutionary leader of China. It has witnessed many historic events in Guangzhou, a memorable one and is now an important venue for large-scale rallies and performances in Guangzhou.It was built in memory of the first president and founding father of the Republic of China, found in 1921.

Stop At: Lychee Bay Scenic Area, Pantang Area, Liwan District, Guangzhou 510000 China

The Lychee Bay is one of many old canals running though Liwan and covered-up in the middle of the 20th century for sanitary reasons. Today, it is regarded as a masterpiece amongst Asian Games renovation projects and a new destination for tourists in Guangzhou. The small canal offers a highly idealized version of what Guangzhou might have resembled in the 19th century, with lychee trees growing along the waterfront. The 668-meter waterway has won praise from nearby residents and the authorities plan to continue developing such canals "in the hope to rival Paris or Venice."

Visit the Shamian Island and wander around the European architectural style area which was former colony for British and French 100 years ago. Shamian Island originally is a major trading post on the Pearl River from the 18th to 19th centuries. Now the island is a relaxing place to stroll around and enjoy the architecture. The island was split into two concessions to the British and the French in 1859 and construction of a small European suburb took place. Now the island, being only 900 meters east to west and 300 meters north to south, is a calm and relaxing place to stroll around and enjoy the European architecture.
