Itinerary

After the pickup we will drive to Shigu Town inhabited by the Naxi minority. Here will have a short hike through the town, fields and fruit tree gardens to a viewing spot on top of a small hill. Prepare for a breathtaking 180 degree view of one the most iconic and symbolic landscapes in China. Once we're back in Shigu Town, we will try some of the traditional snacks and then go for a proper lunch in one of the minority restaurants. Do you prefer to try Naxi, Bai or Hui ethnic cuisines? No clue? No worries, we're there to help you make the best choices. After lunch we drive up the mountain valley. On the way we will stop at Bai and Lisu Minority Villages to experience the local ways of life. When we reach our base deep in the primeval forest you will be welcomed by local conservationists. They will take us for a 2-3 hour hike into the temperate rainforests of Laojun Mountains UNESCO "Three Parallel Rivers" Natural World Heritage. Prepare to be overwhelmed with the natural diversity and enchanted with local stories. After the goodbyes we head back to Lijiang.
