Starting the tour around 7:00am is highly recommended since you will have more time to explore Qinghai Lake when it is not very crowded. Once arrived at main entrance of the Qinghai Lake, your driver will assistance you to purchase your tickets (at your own expense), and tell you where he will be waiting for you, then you will enjoy your own time to explore Qinghai Lake. 

Spend about 2 hours at Qinghai Lake, then heading to Chaka Salt Lake. Relax on the 2.5 hours drive, once arrived, spend your free time to explore “China’s mirror of the sky,”

When you're ready, you will be returned back to your hotel/place of accommodation in Xining city directly. (4 hours drive)
