Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Nature in Li River & Yangshuo

Stop At: Xingping Town, Guilin 541906 China
Visit Xingping Ancient Town.Xingping Ancient Town is 27 kilometers upstream from Yangshuo on the Li River. The town was initially settled in 265 AD with a history of more than 1740 years, it was the regional centre for Yangshuo County until Yangshuo was settled in 590 AD. It is not as developed as neighboring touristy Yangshuo, it nonetheless has a nice authentic feel to it complete with a few intact historical buildings and easy access to the Li River.

Say hello to our vivid cormorant and fisherman on their bamboo raft, this is traditional Chinese fishing practice,enrich your experience and take some photos with them to your heart's content.

Stop At: Li River, East of Guangxi Zhuang China
You will enjoy a private raft trip. Go along the most beautiful part of the Li River for about 1 hour, from Xingping to Nine-Horse Painted Hill, and then return to Xingping.Inside the scenic spot are folded green peaks,reflections of verdant bamboos and other picturesque scenery.The poem goes like this: The passenger boat is light in spring water,unique peaks shuttle between the shore lines; sceneries in Xingping are truly the best after visiting all the places.

Stop At: Guilin Romance Park, Qianguqing Avenue, Yangshuo County 541900 China
Watch "Guilin Romance Show".This is a large stage play.It narrate the Guilin history events that occur in chronological order with unique songs,dances and outstanding light effects.

Stop At: Yulong River, Yangshuo, Yangshuo County China
Cycling along beside Yulong River.After watch the show and driving for about 30 minutes, you’ll arrive at the rural paths near the Yulong River. Take a bicycle or an electric scooter ride along the beautiful countryside paths next to the Yulong River where the water flows silently, the birds are singing, and flowers are blooming. Watch the local farmers ride their ox carts as they plow the fields. Everything is so peaceful, harmonious, and perfect. Forget all your troubles while you feel like staying in paradise.

Day 2: Hike Longji Rice Terraces & Discover Minority Village

Stop At: Longji Rice Terrace Scenic Spot, Longsheng, Guilin, Guangxi, China
Get to Longji and watch long hair dance show by Yao Nationality.Long hair is a local tradition. All the Hongyao women can only cut their hair at 16 years old, symbolizing the fact she is an adult who can look for a lover. The hair cut off should not be thrown away, but is rather kept by the grandmother.When the woman marries, the hair is made into an ornamental headdress and brought to the husband's home as a souvenir.
In the past the long hair of the local women of the Hongyao Nationality was not allowed to be seen by others, even by husbands and children.So the women used a long cloth to twist the hair into a knot. During summer and autumn days, Hongyao women used to go down to the river to wash their hair with their women friends. Such traditions ceased in 1987, so now women can comb and wash hair without worrying about being seen.

Stop At: Ping'an Village, Within the County, Longsheng County 541700 China
The Ping'an Village (Zhuang Ethnic Minority) is located at the peak of Longsheng County's famous rice terraces, 1200 meters above sea-level and is home to over 100 peasant households who are of Zhuang ethnic minority living on assarting terraced fields. What started as a small, peaceful rice-farming community from hundreds of years ago has now become a national tourist attraction with domestic and international tourists visiting it every day.
There is some fabulous hiking to be done around the rice terraces,around Ping'an,there is a well sign-posted walk around Ping'an that takes you through Ping'an town itself, and up to both viewpoints - Viewpoint 1 (called Nine Dragons and Five Tigers) and Viewpoint 2 (Seven Stars with Moon), both of which have spectacular views of the town and surrounding terraces. The route is well sign-posted (look for the stone-engraved maps about the place) with good paths; completing the full circuit takes about 1 - 1.5 hrs.
There are literally layer upon layer of rice paddies all across the mountain all the way to the peak.The rice paddies can be appreciated in all weather, although on a misty day they may be less visible a palpable sense of enchantment and wonder fills the air.
Once getting off the car, by the road there are always locals selling arts and crafts or trying to help you with your accommodation and restaurant. It's not a long walk up the mountain to see and experience the wonderment of Ping'an Village.The local Zhuang people still maintain their traditional culture and traditional dress, the men in their hand stitched jackets made of cloth and the woman in white with their heads en-robed in scarves.
