The #1 cultural insignia of Medellin are flowers. Medellin is known as the city of eternal spring, the city of flowers; for it´s weather and as a common saying for the beauty of it´s women. the city festival that happens every year in the first week of August is called the flower fest. that been said, knowing the roots and colors of the flower culture in Medellin is a must! we´ll visit a flower farm and talk to a real flower parade participant "silletero", see a silleta making demonstration and have a traditional lunch cooked with organic food in the farm.

Stop At: Parque Arvi, Via a Piedras Blancas Correction of Santa Elena, Medellin 050007 Colombia

We´ll visit a flower farm owned by a real "silletero" (he actually participates in Medelin´s flower parade every year.) He teaches us how "silletas" are made and the history of "silletas" in our culture. Expect a colorful experience here.
