The first stop on this tour is Poblado Parque.

We'll hop onto Medellin's famous Metro system

Pass By: Estación Metro San Antonio, Cra. 51a #46, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia

We'll depart the metro at this station where we're right in the centre of Medellin. Here we'll see the daily life of Medellin's residents and check out the street food options nearby

Next part of the journey is on the Medellin Tranvia system. Opened in 2015 the tranvia provides transport from the centre of town to the east side of Medellin and connecting to two Metro Cable lines. Time and weather permitting we'll get out at the top to try some local snacks typical of this region, before heading back down the mountain.

Stop At: Placita de Florez, Calle 50, Medellin Colombia

We'll visit one of the oldest markets in Medellin. Inaugurated in 1891, even to this date the market still serves an important role in the community. Here we'll see stalls selling a variety of products including fruits, meats, fish, nuts, sweets, plants etc. However its the exotic fruits we're interested in and you'll get to try an unusual juice or two.

Plaza San Ignacio is one of the most historic and architecturally interesting squares in Medellin, a distinct contrast to the modern, clean architecture of El Poblado. We'll make a quick stop here tacking in the atmosphere and of course try a snack.

You'll know that Colombia is famous for it's coffee but did you know Medellin has very strong tango traditions. We'll merge these two with a quick coffee stop at Salon Malaga. At this popular tango lounge you'll feel like you're stepping back into time. The atmosphere, the photos, the music and the people make this one of the most unique real life museums in Medellin.
