Itinerary

Day 1: Uribia, Salinas de Manaure and Cabo de La Vela

Stop At: Cabo de la Vela, Cabo de La Vela Colombia
The recommended route for this day will be Riohacha - Cabo de La Vela:

On this route do not miss the following attractions: Uribía (indigenous capital of La Guajira), the Salinas de Manaure, the Wualapuinje ranchería and when you reach Cabo de La Vela, the must-see places are: the Pilón de Azúcar, sacred place of the Wayuú community with its Dorada and Ojo de Agua beaches and the Cabo de La Vela Lighthouse, here you will also have the possibility to practice kitesurfing.

Day 2: Dunes of Taroa and Punta Gallinas

Stop At: Punta Gallinas, Carrera 5 3a 02, Uribia Colombia
The recommended route for the second day is Cabo de La Vela - Punta Gallinas, 3 hours of travel.

During your trip you will have the opportunity to know the Dunes of Taroa, one of the most beautiful natural scenery of La Guajira, as they are sand hills that merge into the Caribbean Sea. When you arrive at Punta Gallinas you can choose to go to the lighthouse, La Boquita Bay, famous for its pristine beaches or to Hondita Bay which is an excellent option to see flamingos.

Day 3: Beaches of Mayapo

Stop At: Playas de Mayapo, Riohacha Colombia
Upon returning, we recommend that your transport make a stop in Mayapo, the journey from Punta Gallinas takes 5 hours.

Upon arrival, you can choose to visit the Maliwala Refuge, a space to enjoy traditional cuisine and enjoy the beaches, one of the must-see destinations on your trip to La Guajira. At mid-afternoon and after a tour of approx. 40 minutes, you will have a space in a hostel in Riohacha, where you can rest, take a shower and get ready to go to the airport.
