Santa Isabel snowy summit

It is the opportunity to visit a snowy summit of approximately 5.000 meters above sea level no matter if you do not have experience in snowy peaks although their level of demand is high, additional is a personalized experience with support to local communities.

Day 1:
At 5:00 am is the departure from the Pereira city in a 4x4 vehicle passing through the Santa Rosa De Cabal municipality and then taking the road that leads to San Vicente Hot Springs to the Potosí sector. This route has a distance of 55 kilometers by uncovered road, with an 3 hours approximate.

kilometers Later we arrive at the potosí sector (3850 meters above sea level), where we will have a breakfast and go to the National Parks cabin where we will process the proper income and receive the induction talk by the officials then we leave from potosí towards to la Laguna del Otún.

This will be an acclimatization walk over 4000meters with a duration of 4 to 5 hours
In the afternoon hours the preparation of the equipment is done and it is oriented to its proper use.
Around 6:00 in the afternoon we will prepare to have dinner and then rest for the ascent which begins type 2:30 in the morning

Day 2:
At 2:30 in the morning Start time with a hot drink. We will take the vehicle which will take us along the road to the Conejeras sector (4100 masl)

Later we start the journey along the path that leads to the Santa Isabel snowy glacier
Being on the edge of the glacier, we get the teams ready and we begin the ascent to its center top, once there, we will evaluate the possibility of heading to the North top. We must take into account that these peaks are separated at the moment by a rock fort that has been discovered by defrosting and separation of the glacier.
We will be touring part of Santa Isabel Snowy and will begin its descent at 9 am towards the vehicle.
At 1:00 in the afternoon We will have lunch at the peasant inn and return to the Pereira city .
