Trekking in Chingaza National Natural Park
The PNN Chingaza is a natural and cultural treasure in Colombia. Here lies the magic of the Andes mountains that keeps secrets and thoughts of our ancient Muisca civilization. Chingaza is a refuge of fauna and flora of high Andean forest ecosystem and moorland with innumerable sources of water that supply almost 70% of the water needed to supply more than 10 million inhabitants of Bogotá and more than 11 municipalities of Cundinamarca.
In this Trekking, we will reach a maximum height of 3.7000 m.a.s.l. in a 9-kilometer circuit through Las Lagunas Siecha and Lagunas de Buitrago, a journey that can last 4 hours through a forest with lush vegetation and different types of Frailejoes. Along the way you can also enjoy a beautiful landscape with viewpoints and rocky outcrops of glacial origin. And if we are lucky we can see white-tailed deer and the Andean bear.
