Visit Wayuu indigenous communities in La Guajira in a different way

The activities will be developed in indigenous reserves in Riohacha and Manaure, surrounded by the Ranchería River and close to the beaches of Riohacha and Mayapo, respectively. All the reservations assigned for the experience are a maximum of 20 minutes from the tourist center of Riohacha.

Participants can take home works, textiles or instruments made with the community as souvenirs or gifts to share with their loved ones.

This experience is carried out in order to learn about our culture through our eyes, experimenting and creating our art forms.

With this they allow hundreds of young people to access forms worthy of sustaining themselves and contributing to their community while preserving our legacy. On behalf of them, thank you for contributing.

Itinerary

-We will take you to the Wayuu indigenous community assigned to your experience where you will be received by indigenous young Wayuu scholars of the foundation.
- They will be guided by the ecological path to the Ranchería River touring the community while giving an introduction to their culture.
-When the river reaches the experience offers three alternative activities according to availability:

 a) We will learn how to weave, creating Wayuu fabrics made by yourself.

 b) We will learn to create and execute Wayuu musical instruments.

 c) We will learn to make handmade paintings.

Participants can take home works, textiles or instruments made with the community as souvenirs or gifts to share with their loved ones.
- After a profitable afternoon, we will take you back to your accommodation in Riohacha.
