Itinerary
Day 1: Evening Arrival Into San Jose & City Sightseeing
Stop At: San Jose, San Jose, San Jose Metro, Province of San Jose
For day 1 (day of arrival), we recommend you arrive into San Jose in the evening, just to rest up for the following day (we're relocating tomorrow to a village called La Fortuna). Nonetheless, we do meet up in the evening for a guided walking tour around the old town.

Day 2: Poás Volcano, Touring a Coffee Plantation & Staying in a Hot Springs Village
Stop At: Cr130, Poas Volcano National Park Costa Rica
We take an early-morning, 1.5-hour drive to Poás Volcano National Park. After seeing this stratovolcano, we take a 30-minute drive to Doka Estate. There we are to be provided with a 2-hour guided tour of a coffee plantation. Lunch is included in todays tour. We are then to be taken via a 3-hour drive to the small town of La Fortuna. This village is used specifically as a base from which to make daytrips.
We recommend you bathe in one of the many natural hot springs throughout town. The most popular hot spring is found in the resort of Tabacón. However, there are others which are just as nice but much more affordable. Consider a place called Ecotermales Fortuna. Note that most resorts with hot springs close around 10:00pm.
Also please note that the Poás Volcano National Park is often closed due to eruptions. If this is the case, then it would simply be replaced by the La Paz Waterfall.

Day 3: Walking Along Hanging Bridges in the Jungle, Swimming at La Fortuna Waterfall & Hiking Arenal Volcano National Park
Stop At: Arenal Volcano National Park, Arenal Volcano National Park, Province of Alajuela
We are to go on an excursion today to the nearby surroundings. First is Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park, which features cool-looking bridges hanging in the tropical rain forest. Next is La Fortuna Waterfall, where we can go swimming. Following the waterfall is lunch, which is included in todays tour. Lastly for today is Arenal Volcano National Park. It offers a nice hike amid tropical scenery. Arenal Volcano measures at least 1,633 meters (5,358 feet) high. It is estimated to be less than 7,500 years old.

Day 4: Getting Wet Inside Venado Caves Followed by a Grand Canyoning Tour
Stop At: Venado Caves, Arenal Volcano National Park Costa Rica
We are to go on a daytrip today. We are to be taken on a group tour to Venado Caves via a 1-hour drive. We are going to get wet inside there. The guided tour takes about 2 hours. After lunch, we are to be taken on a group tour to the Lost Canyon. There we are to go on a 2-hour canyoning tour.

Day 5: A Guided Tour Around the Exotic Tenorio Volcano National Park
Stop At: Tenorio Volcano National Park, Tenorio Volcano National Park, Province of Guanacaste
We are to go on another daytrip today. We are to be taken on a group tour to Tenorio Volcano National Park via a 1.5-hour drive. Among other natural attractions, this park has one large waterfall. From the parks entrance, it takes about an hour to hike up to the main viewpoint. Lunch is included in todays tour.

Day 6: Hot Mud Pits, a Small Volcano & Hiking Around Rincon de la Vieja National Park
Stop At: Rincon de La Vieja National Park, Costa Rica
We are to relocate via a 3.5-hour drive to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. There we are to be provided with a guided tour. Expect to see flora and fauna, hot mud pits and a small volcano.

Day 7: Visiting & Enjoying 5 of Costa Rica's Best Beaches
Stop At: Tamarindo, Tamarindo, Province of Guanacaste
We are to go on a daytrip today. We are to be taken on a group tour to the beaches of Tamarindo, Conchal, Brasilito, Flamingo and Potrero. Lunch is included in todays tour. Note that Tamarindo is especially known for its leatherback turtles.

Day 8: Zip-Lining at Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Stop At: Monteverde, Monteverde, Province of Puntarenas
We are to relocate via a 3.5-hour drive to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. There we are to go on a 3-hour zip-lining tour. Afterwards, we are to be taken on a 2-hour guided tour deep into the forest reserve.

Day 9: Catamaran Cruise, Snorkeling, Dinner & Watching the Sunset
Stop At: Quepos, Quepos, Province of Puntarenas
We are to relocate via a 4.5-hour drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. After checking into our room, we are to be taken to the marina in the small nearby town of Quepos. There we are to board onto a catamaran, go snorkeling, eat an early dinner and not least, watch the sunset.

Day 10: Exploring Costa Rica's Most Famous National Park
Stop At: Playa Manuel Antonio, Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, 6 kms south of Quepos, Manuel Antonio 195-6350 Costa Rica
We are to go on a small excursion today. We are to be taken on a 2.5-hour guided tour inside Manuel Antonio National Park. There we can go swimming. We should be back at our room around 12:00pm. You have the rest of today to recover after all of these days of adventurous activities. Consider going horseback riding.

Day 11: Our Tour Ends This Morning
Stop At: San Jose, San Jose, San Jose Metro, Province of San Jose
Manuel Antonio National Park is the final destination on our group tour of Costa Rica. Around 10:00am, we will be taking a 3-hour drive back to San Jose. We could drop you off somewhere in the town center or at the international airport. Just let us know.
