We will highlight the culinary roots of Costa Rica preparing you to try traditional foods.

Highlights: Coffee, Small Traditional Plates, Tropical Fruits, Chocolate, National Theater, City Parks and Central Market. Samples included.

Overview: This tour will wind through the walkways,parks and central market of downtown.Tasting local flavors is one of the best things to do in San Jose, and you'll finish with a great understanding of how a typical Costa Rican fills his belly.

We'll also discuss current events and point out historical places to see in San Jose, going beyond a typical tourist experience.

Inclusions: Food samples, bathroom stops and resting as needed.

Stops will offer a taste of tropical fruits, baked goods, chocolate, traditional plates, small plates and coffee as we wonder through markets and chat with street vendors, no more than 8 people per group. (book private group)

Parque Morazan, underneath the temple (9.935441, -84.075420). This park is in front of the Holiday Inn Aurola. The tours finish within 4 blocks of this park.
