Adventure Sailing Hvar – Dubrovnik

This sailing trip is perfect for people who love being active and outdoors. Your daily activities will include sailing, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling. Daily activities are fun and not too demanding. You will explore the  Korcula and Hvar shorelines and Mljet Island; full of unique cliffs, caves, coves, rocks, beaches and pine forests.

Itinerary

Day 1: Sailing Hvar to Pakleni Islands

Stop At: Pakleni Islands, Hvar, Hvar Island Croatia
Arrive to Hvar town in your own arrangement and meet our crew around 16:00 on the main operational dock. We advise to arrive earlier and explore other sites on Hvar Island such as Stari Grad plain, UNESCO protected cultured landscape, inland wineries and olive groves. Feel free to buy snacks and drinks before coming aboard, but please note space is limited and you can restock each day. In the afternoon we will sail around secluded bays of Pakleni Islands, stop for swimming and paddleboarding before we anchor for the night in the area.

Day 2: Hvar Island

Stop At: Hvar Island, Hvar Island, Split-Dalmatia County, Dalmatia
In the morning we sail out early towards Hvar and serve breakfast along the way. Once a Greek colony, today Hvar is famous Mediterranean tourist spot that attracts for its culture, food and wine, adventure and nightlife. Visit small galleries and hike up to Fortica, fort protecting people of Hvar since ancient times. Before noon we say goodbye to buzzy Hvar and sail along cliffed coastline of outer Hvar. High cliffs hide small bays with dream like beaches often accessible only by boat. We will make few stops for swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding before we reach Peljesac peninsula for overnight.

Day 3: Korcula Island

Stop At: Korcula Island, Korcula Island, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dalmatia
In the morning look out for skilful windsurfers as we sail across windy Peljesac canal to the town of Korcula. Korcula has been known since the 6th century BC under the name of Korkyra Melaina when it was as ancient Greek colony - in translation “Black Korcula” describing its dark green pine forests. According to some theories, this island is also known as the hometown of the 13th century explorer and traveller Marco Polo, the first European to present facts about China and other Asian countries. On our adventure we will kayak Korcula coastline and discover narrow streets and artisan stores in the town itself. In the afternoon we sail to turquoise Zuljana Bay on Peljesac Peninsula for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Mljet Island

Stop At: Mljet Island, Mljet Island, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dalmatia
This morning we get our sails up and gently cruise towards Mljet Island, and the national park. Mljet is the most forested island in the Adriatic, and the smell of pine, juniper, bay leaf and other wild herbs is simply captivating. This scenic National Park contains two salt lakes, with a Benedictine monastery on the isle of St. Mary. You will cycle in the park and around its lakes, and optionally take a boat to visit the monastery of St. Mary. Swim in the salty lakes and enjoy the perfect peace and quiet of this island before returning to your yacht. On our way to Sipan Island make sure you look out for playful dolphins who will gladly surf along the yacht. Enjoy your diner in a cozy seaside restaurant in Luka Sipanska village where we stay for the night.

Day 5: Sailing Sipan Island to Dubrovnik

Stop At: Sipan, Dubrovnik Croatia
Time permitting, in the morning take a walk around relaxing Luka Sipanska village. The island, which is only 16 square kilometers in size, is home to old summer estates and 34 churches that bear witness to a rich history that peaked during the Dubrovnik Republic era. On our way back enjoy water activities such as paddleboarding and snorkeling followed by amazing lunch on Kolocep Island. As we pass under Dubrovnik imposing cable-stayed bridge, we will say goodbye to the stunning group of Elaphiti Islands and end our tour. In the evening enjoy your free time surrounded by grand Dubrovnik fortifications. Feel free to ask our staff for help with your further arrangements.
