Learn how to cook traditional food in a Dalmatian village a strong culinary tradition, and eat what you have made! Travel to the village in an air conditioned minivan, and enjoy the benefits of having your very own guide and driver! First, take a guided tour through the ethno village. You will learn many interesting things about the history of these lands and how people lived in the 19th century. Then, it is time for the cooking class to begin – however, this is not just any cooking class, but rather a genuine traditional Dalmatian food cooking class!

All food in Skopljanci is made strictly according to centuries old recipes. Deeply nourishing, traditional foods from the Dalmatian region were unprocessed, naturally raised, largely raw and decidedly unrefined. These foods represent the natural gastric experience of humankind, vital to the natural growth and evolution of the human species for thousands of years prior to the mass production of food we use today.

After the cooking class, you can eat your well deserved dinner! Here is the menu:

Cold starters

Lećevica’s cheese, Prosciutto, Homemade bacon, Homemade sausage, Donut, Homemade bread under baking lid

Warm starters and garnishing

Homemade soup (Meat, vegetables), Boiled meat, Or apple sauce, Boiled potatoes with spices, Potatoes under baking lid

Salad (season)

Lettuce, Fresh cabbage, Tomato salad, fresh cucumber, Pepper fresh

Main dishes

Lamb roasted on a spit, Stewed vegetables ( more types), Baking lid ”peka” (veal and vegetables), Baking lid ”peka” (cocks and vegetables), Baking lid ”peka” (lamb and vegetables), Baking lid ”peka” vegetariana, Boiled meat (junetina, capon, veal), Grilled dishes (by agreement)

Desert

Fritule – traditional dessert, Fruit salad, Fresh Fruit, Pancakes, Strudel, Homemade cakes (optional)

After the dinner is over, return to Split late in the afternoon.
