Zagreb to Dubrovnik via Plitvice Lakes NP Split Mostar: 3 - Day Private Tour

Join us on a private 3-day tour from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and visit some of the most interesting cultural and natural attractions along the way 4 of which are on the UNESCO list.

On the first day you will admire extraordinary beauty and tradition of Rastoke watermill village and enjoy walk, boat and train ride in Croatia's oldest and most popular National Park - Plitvice Lakes.

Second day will take you from the glorious ancient Roman times in the complex of Diocletian's Palace in Split where you will have a walking tour with a local guide to golden ages of Venetian Republic in a small historical city of Trogir.

On a third day you will witness a unique blend of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities in Mostar before we reach our final destination - Pearl of Adriatic, Dubrovnik.

During the entire tour you will be accompanied by your private experienced English speaking guide and our customer support will be at your disposal prior and during your tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: Zagreb - Plitvice Lakes National Park - Split

Pass By: Jelacic Square (Trg Bana Josipa Jelacica), Zagreb Croatia
The tour will start with pick up at your accommodation in Zagreb and a pleasant drive south.

Pass By: The Museum of Army Collections from the Croatian Homeland War, Turanj ul., Karlovac Croatia
Just after we exit the highway you will notice an open air Museum of army collections from the Croatian Homeland War. It is a rather small area that museum covers but interesting to have a look and children will absolutely love it.

Stop At: Rastoke 25 At Slovin Unique - Rastoke, Slunj 47240 Croatia
We will have a short break at Rastoke village in the city of Slunj. This watermill historical village of extraordinary natural beauty and tradition is built where river Slunjčica flows into Korana river forming several waterfalls and lakes. Most of the traditional architecture you will see, suffered destruction during the Homeland War and locals have been encouraged to preserve and renovate objects due to its ambiental and ethnological value.

Stop At: Plitvicka Jezera, Plitvice Lakes National Park 53231 Croatia
Half an hour drive from Slunj lies oldest and most visited Croatian National Park stretching over 300 square kilometers. Plitvice Lakes National Park with its outstanding beauty was in 1979 inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site for geological and ecological values. We will have a walk to see the complex of 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls, a boat ride across the lake and a panoramic train ride.

After the tour of Plitvice Lakes your guide can recommend you a restaurant serving traditional Croatian food for lunch.

Day 2: Walking Tour in Split and Half-Day Trip to Trogir

Stop At: Old Split, Ulica Knezova Nelipica 1A, Split 21000 Croatia
In the morning hours your guide will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the Old Town to meet a local guide for a walking tour of Split.
While roaming the labyrinth of streets of Split old town and enjoying successive layers of historical architecture you will see Historical complex of Split with the Diocletian's Palace, UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, Main Square, Promenade and many more. Your local guide will tell you a story of history, art and local life.

After the walking tour you will have some free time for a lunch in one of the local restaurants serving fresh traditional food.

Stop At: Historic City of Trogir, Trogir Croatia
In the early afternoon hours your guide will take you on a trip to Trogir - a medieval city situated on a tiny island 27 kilometers northwest of Split.
Trogir is inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as a remarkable example of urban continuity what can be seen in the preserved orthogonal street plan dating back from Hellenistic period, outstanding Romanesque churches and beautiful Renaissance and Baroque buildings.

A labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets with the minimum of modern interventions reveals beautiful palaces of nobility with architectural features from different historic periods and some of the best examples of sacred architecture in Croatia.

Day 3: Split - Mostar - Dubrovnik

Stop At: Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar, Stari Most, Mostar Bosnia and Herzegovina
Third day of our tour we will leave Split behind and drive towards Bosnia & Herzegovina to Mostar.

Mostar is a city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina best known for iconic Ottoman-style Old Bridge (Stari Most). In Mostar you can witness a unique blend of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities.

Walking through the cobbled streets of Mostar you will discover pre-Ottoman, eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean and western European architectural features.

Best things to do in Mostar include visit to colorful bazaar, drinking Turkish coffee in riverside cafes and tasting local specialty called ćevapi.

Stop At: Old Town, Dubrovnik Croatia
In the afternoon hours we finally reach Dubrovnik a town famous for the untouched walled city listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
